Our Junior Squad program is not just for fitness and health. It’s also for personal development and growth.
The Junior Squad program at Wangaratta Indoor Sports and Aquatic Centre provides children with strong swimming skills and general water safety knowledge. Keeping fit and healthy with strength, endurance and fitness training, Juniors develop their readiness for competition with stroke technique, education about competition rules and regular competitive swimming practice.
Get active with Junior Squad programs on Thursday nights and Saturday mornings.
Squad swimming is not just about doing laps; it’s a complete training program to help juniors develop into strong and capable swimmers.
Junior Squad helps children to get active, fit and healthy in a safe aquatic environment. Children will enjoy being challenged and competing in regular swimming events. They will learn the biomechanics of swimming, competition rules and how to improve their stroke technique.
Children can also enjoy making friends with other juniors in the program and expand their social network. Healthy competition through swimming events will also help with personal development and growth.
