The centre offers 54 group fitness classes per week, an indoor 25 metre pool, hydrotherapy pool and toddlers pool, a Health Centre featuring the latest in cardio and strength training equipment, Personal Training options, a childcare service, café, three stadium courts and six squash and racquetball courts.
The YMCA Swimming lessons program, offered 7 days a week, provides quality swim tuition and water safety training to more than 800 children per week.
WISAC is also home to an on-site myotherapist and physiotherapy provider, rounding out their unique ability to cater for the recreation and health needs of all sectors of our community.

Visitors to the centre regularly comment on the atmosphere and community ‘feel’ that is evident as soon as you enter the facility. Surrounded by green, open spaces, the centre provides a place for people of all ages to connect and belong. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and many families, older adult groups, school students and friends choose it as a meeting place where they can relax and feel at home as well as participate in the many health and recreation activities on offer.
This atmosphere is enhanced by the professional and friendly service that is the hallmark of YMCA centres. Staff members are determined to maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.
What sets the Wangaratta Indoor Sports & Aquatic Centre apart from the mainstream recreation industry is their commitment to the health and happiness of all members in our community – including those in our community experiencing some sort of disadvantage. Through our YMCA Open Doors initiative, we are committed to raising funds that are used directly to help people in our community to access facilities and programs that will improve their health and happiness.
The Wangaratta Indoor Sports & Aquatic Centre is dedicated to meeting the health and recreation needs of all sectors of our community – they pride ourselves on excellent customer service, the ability to meet the diverse needs of all members and visitors, and the welcoming environment that we provide that enhances community connection.
The centre's Communications and Community Development Specialist Trish Storer says the staff team was thrilled to win the award. "We are proud of our efforts in providing health and fitness opportunities for everyone in the community, including helping those who are disadvantaged. It was fantastic recognition.
"We would like to thank all our members who continue to love what we do and also support our fundraising efforts. We would also like to thank the Rural City of Wangaratta, councillors, local schools and all the businesses and organisations that we enjoy great partnerships with. Together we are making our community strong!"
