The Yes Optus Dancing with the Mastars is conducted by Wangaratta YMCA and includes expert dance teaching from well known teacher Deb Ravida. The event is held to raise funds for YMCA Open Doors – a program that assists local people in need to access programs and facilities at the Wangaratta Indoor Sports & Aquatic Centre.
This year's Dancing with the MaSTARS will be held on Saturday 25th November at St Patrick's Hall Wangaratta.
Dancing with the MaSTARS runs like a regular Debutante Ball in which 10 to 12 couples learn 4 dances over 8 weeks and then are 'presented' on the night. The event is a chance for adults (approx over age 35) to learn to dance, raise money for charity and generally have a great time with other adults.
Information for dancers is available on the link at right. Those without a dance partner initially will be paired up if we can. Dancers are required to commit to the dance training and are expected to fill a table of 20 guests per couple. All dancers receive a 6 month membership at the Wangaratta Indoor Sports & Aquatic Centre.
